Basic DLI Uniform requirements *Hard Cap- British MkIII Helmet/ “Turtle” Helemt. Soft Cap- Foreign Service Cap (ideally with regimental cap badge and small King’s crown buttons). *Tunic- Pattern 1940 Battle Dress Tunic. *Trousers- Pattern 1940 Battle Dress Trousers. Undershirt- Greyback, Greenback, or Civilian undershirt. *Equipment- 1937 Pattern Webbing Set (Belt, 2x basic pouches, 2x shoulder straps, water bottle carrier with water bottle, 2x L-straps, 1 small pack). Secondary Equipment- Entrenching tool set, bayonet carrier with No.4 Bayonet, Cup (by 1945 you see all colour variants in Northern European front line units and this topic is not up for debate), Khaki Drill Cloth Ammo Bandoleer. *Rifle- Lee Enfield No.4 Rifle (no No.4Ts allowed). *Footwear- British Webbing Anklets and British Ammo Boot (no rubber soles). Insignia- Regimental cloth shoulder titles. |
Basic Hungarian Requirements *Hat Cap- M35 Hungarian Helmet Soft Cap- M26 Bocskai Cap with Hungarian Cockade, Brown trim, and Brown Buttons (no side insignia preferred, otherwise green for Infantry). *Tunic- M39 Hungarian Tunic with green collar tabs. *Trousers- M26 Hungarian Trousers *Equipment- M15 Belt, 2x Steyr M95 Ammo Pouches, M35 Water Flask, M1908 Canvas Breadbag Secondary Equipment- Gas Mask with White Bag, M95 Steyr Bayonet Frog, Mess Tin with Khaki Cover, E-Tool carrier/shovel, M39 Trench Coat. Footwear- Khaki Green Long Puttees and black Ankle Boots or No Puttees and Hungarian M35 Boot. *Rifle- Leased German K98K or Captured Russian Mosin 91/30. |
